3 AM. Moonlight seeped through the warehouse windows as a plump rat emerged from a crack in the wall, its whiskers twitching, sniffing the air cautiously. For a month, it had ruled this food storage—gnawing through packaging, leaving droppings, moving unchallenged.

But tonight was different.
